This is a concept for a 7 km-long cycling and pedestrian route along the banks of the Sapalaivka River. The project aims to create a connecting route that will enhance mobility, highlight the richness of Lutsk’s Emerald Network, and shape a new environment for both the community and local businesses.
In 2024, we continued to advocate for the development of the Green Corridor and high-quality urban greening, supporting biodiversity, implementing sustainable methods to combat flooding, and addressing urban heat islands.
We present these topics at various forums and conferences and also organize volunteer clean-ups in the 900th Anniversary Park, engaging the community in improving the city’s green spaces.
The concept will be integrated into the future revitalization project of the district in the center of Lutsk and included in an urban route featuring such points of interest as: the Botanical Garden, the former “Luchanka” factory, the Volyn Regional Museum of Local History, PUM, the Museum of Military Equipment, the VNU “Yadro” Sports Complex, and the Volyn Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Olena Pchilka.
